Hi, I'm Sara Jael

I picked up my first camera at around 12, which was really just my phone, but it was enough to get me completely hooked. A few years later I graduated to a plum-coloured Nikon point-and-shoot that went everywhere with me. From there I threw myself into it properly: signing up for photography courses at a local university and a year studying film and directing. All of it just kept pointing me back to the same thing: people, and the way moments between them look when nobody's performing.

I spent the last few years studying Communication Science in the Netherlands and after graduating, I decided to pivot into the career that has always been calling my name: Photography! When I'm not shooting, you'll find me at home with my nose in a book and an iced matcha in my hand or an adventure somewhere new! I speak English, Portuguese, and a little bit of French, so whatever works for you, we'll figure it out!

When I am photographing clients, I love to spot and capture the quiet stuff and in-between moments. The gentle love and the real laughter are the core of the photo, beautiful backgrounds are just a plus! As a photographer, I don't want to give you just a picture to hold onto but a memory to grasp and hold onto. That's what I'm trying to catch.
